Men's Shed

Build, Create, and Connect

The Upminster Baptist Church Men’s Shed is a friendly space where men of all ages can come together to share skills, make things, and enjoy good company. Whether you’re into woodworking, DIY, repairing, tinkering, or just chatting over a cup of tea, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

The Shed isn’t just about making things — it’s about connection and wellbeing. Working side-by-side, sharing ideas, and lending a hand all help build confidence, purpose, and friendship. You don’t need to be a church member or have any particular skills — just bring your curiosity and willingness to join in.

What We Do

  • Woodworking and Repairs – Make, mend, and upcycle projects using shared tools and materials.

  • Community Projects – Get involved in simple projects that benefit the church and local community.

  • Chat and Companionship – A relaxed, no-pressure environment where conversations flow easily.

  • Learn and Share Skills – Everyone has something to offer — whether it’s DIY know-how or just a good story.

Who Can Join

Any man aged 18 or over is welcome, whether retired, working, or somewhere in between. If you’ve got time on your hands and want to do something practical and social, this is the place for you.
